Kitchen of the Week: A Moveable Kitchen in Scotland (Shaker Peg Rail Included)
Ever since Margot profiled the Edinburgh condominium of Nina and Craig Plummer—the designers and shopkeepers guiding Ellei Property, then known as Elements LDN—we’ve returned to its silent, refined simplicity. In addition to their rather new studio house, in a 19th-century Renaissance-fashion setting up formerly applied as a church corridor, the duo pictures all of their choices in situ in their flat, and each and every detail is created with this in mind: lime-washed partitions for a neutral, evocative backdrop, a kitchen area island on casters for straightforward maneuvering.
Lately, on returning all over again to the article, we seen some thing else about the area: a definite Shaker inflection in the kitchen area. Fitting, due to the fact Nina informed Margot at the time: “We like to believe that if we use our values to shape our houses, our residences will, in turn, condition the life that unfolds inside them.”
