It’s the season to welcome friends and family into our homes to celebrate the holidays. A warm welcome starts with a beautiful entry that sets the tone for your home. If the space we are designing allows for it, we always fill our entries with a console table styled with pieces that reflect the personality of the home. Here are five items we use to create a beautiful layered look. Mix and match to create your own warm entry welcome.

Start with a Console Table that fits your Space

One of our favorite pieces in our new Sam’s Club x Becki Owens furniture line is this console table. It is the perfect warm wood accent for your entry with beautiful lines and the prettiest wood tone. It’s a versatile look that could create the perfect foundation for your entry styling. Add Height with Art or a Mirror

Once you’ve found the right console for your space, you’ll want to add height to it with artwork or a mirror. This creates a real focal point in the space. We love to use a mirror to reflect light and let you take a quick glance at your look on your way out the door. Large scale art also looks beautiful and adds texture, shape, and color. It’s also the perfect way to show your personality. We like layering the two looks with a smaller work of art leaning against the larger mirror.

Create Texture with Styling Pieces you Love

You don’t want clutter, but you do want to find a few styling pieces you love. This might be a sculptural vase, a wooden or ceramic bowl, a stack of your favorite books, or a framed photo or piece of art. This can be a perfect place to style a family antique, a momento from a favorite trip, or a fun holiday accent. Keep the look simple, but make it unique to your personality and the style of your home.

Rotate through Seasonal Stems or Branches

Greenery can transform a space. It adds life and vibrancy. Styling with seasonal branches, greens, or blooms is a really beautiful, organic way to decorate for holidays throughout the year. This month fresh cut firs and pine add the best holiday scent. Mix them with olive, magnolia, or berry branches and place them in a beautiful ceramic jug to create an earthy holiday look.

Illuminate with a Soft Warm Glow

Illuminate your styled console and add a soft welcoming glow to greet guests. If you are up for a project, add sconces on each side of your arrangement. For something less permanent, style a table lamp in to your look.

We’re hoping that you’re holiday season is full and  that you are able to welcome friends and family in to your home!
